Driving down back roads in South Carolina, I stumbled upon this restaurant by pure accident. Driving north, I saw it when I stopped at the stop sign. I continued on for a mile or so and did a U-turn and drive to the restaurant. There are a couple of big holes in the parking lot, so be careful there. Entering the front doors, I was greeted and told to sit anywhere I wanted. I elected a wooden booth. The waitress was new but was excellent. She has a passion for food and enjoys her job here. Behind the partial wall.is a busy team cooking in the kitchen. The menu ke laminated and has everything listed on one side. Not everything is available all the time. Breakfast was not available on a Saturday evening and Sunday special was only available on Sunday, as expected. I ordered fried chicken breasts and French fries which were crinkle cut. Also mozzarella sticks with Roma brand Marinara. The food was hot and fresh. Tasted very good. The fried food is not cooked in the same oil as fish thankfully. When I thanked the owner for not cooking for drink, I ordered a cup of water. I was able to meet the owner who was wearing a GiGi Mama shirt after the meal. She was super friendly and appreciated me stopping there to eat. Everyone I interacted with was super friendly and cheery. If i.am I'm the area again, I'll be back. I recommend stopping here if in the area.

I found this place on Google Maps. It's a quaint little restaurant with wonderful food, atmosphere, and service. We ordered chicken, fish, and a hamburger. The hamburger was seasoned just right and the grill was wonderfully seasoned as well. One of the best burgers anywhere! The fried chicken was excellent! The skin was light and crispy. The meat was very tender and juicy. The fried fish was seasoned well and was nice and crispy. They serve drinks in bottles or tea and lemonade. We will revisit!

My wife and I stumbled upon this great little soul food restaurant and we loved it! We happen to come on a Sunday when they had had a small buffet. It had all the favorites on it including fried chicken, liver and onions, macaroni and cheese, peas, lima, beans and more! It even had desserts. The food was great and the prices were reasonable. We highly recommend it.

We are so glad we stopped here on our back country road trip. On a mission to only take backroads, this was the perfect stop to get some truly great Soul food! The Soul Food Sunday menu allowed us to literally try everything on the menu and we loved it all!! My personal favorites were the string beans, Lima beans, fried chicken breast, and the white rice and gravy. My husband's favorites were the pot roast and the fried pork chop and candied yams. It was ALL good tho!! The service was great. Everyone from the cooks to the servers to the guests were friendly and made you feel like family. You could tell this is a local favorite. But even if you're from out of town, we recommend going out of your way to visit!
